The Hong Kong Police Force, the Government Computer Emergency Response Team Hong Kong (GovCERT.HK) and the Hong Kong Computer Emergency Response Team Coordination Centre (HKCERT) take immense pride in co-organizing the Cyber Security Professional Awards (CSPA). The CSPA is a pioneering event that has been a hallmark in Hong Kong since 2016. It stands as a premier awards ceremony, celebrating excellence, innovation, and leadership within the cyber security domain across diverse sectors. We recognize individuals in the cyber security field who have demonstrated exceptional prowess in various professional areas, including:
Formulating and implementing innovative cyber security policies
Effectively managing the risks associated with cyber threats
Swiftly identifying and responding to cyber incidents
Articulating the value of cyber security to fellow organizational members

The core objectives of the awards are:
To elevate the status of the cyber security personnel by acknowledging and celebrating their innovations contributions

To inspire cyber security personnel to elevate their skills and knowledge, making significant strides in preventing and detecting technology crimes and cyberattacks

Selection criteria
The participant must be a personnel working in an organisation in Hong Kong which falls within one of the eight designated sectors:

Profound qualifications related to information technology or cyber security
Exceptional performance in the field of cyber security
Adeptness in responding to and preventing cyber security incidents
Proficiency in managing cyber security risk
Evidence of impactful strategies or projects in cyber security
Contributions to promoting cyber security training and education within their organizations
Proof of advancing cyber security through innovative approaches
Event rules
Awardees will be selected by the Judging Panel in January 2024. All awardees and their respective organizations will receive email invitations to the Awards Presentation Ceremony, scheduled on February 29, 2024
All documents or information submitted will be strictly confidential and used solely for the purpose of the awards selection process, in compliance with Cap 486 Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance. Participants have the right to update their personal data or obtain copies of the information submitted. All documents will be securely destroyed within three months after the results are announced
The Judging Panel retains the ultimate decision-making authority regarding the eligibility of all entries
Photos and videos from the event may be published in organizers’ and co-organizers’ publications and websites
Judges & awards
The Judging Panel will evaluate nominations and select Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Merit Award winners for each of the eight designated sectors. The names of award winners will be featured on the Cyber Security Professional Awards website. A trophy will be presented to each winner at the Awards Presentation Ceremony on February 29, 2024
