1.The “Anti-scam Lucky Draw (The “Campaign”) is organized by Hong Kong Police Force (“HKPF”). The Campaign commences from 1 October 2024 to 30 November 2024, both dates inclusive (“Campaign Period”);

2.The Campaign is divided into two phases. Phase one commences at 09:00 on 1 October 2024 and closes at 23:59 on 24 October 2024 (Hong Kong Time). Phase two commences at 00:01 on 25 October 2024 and closes at 23:59 on 30 November 2024 (Hong Kong Time). Submission received outside the time periods will not be considered;

3.Participants must download the Scameter+ App to be eligible to participate in the Campaign. Campagin will be carried out by means of instant-win lucky draw. Prize winner will be notified by email;

4.In phase one, participants will obtain one instant-win lucky draw opportunity upon successful Scameter+ App download; one instant-win lucky draw opportunity upon successful activation of “Suspicious Call Alert” function; one instant-win lucky draw opportunity upon successful activation of “Suspicious Website Detection” function, one instant-win lucky draw opportunity upon successful activation of “Public Intelligence Platform” function; one instant-win lucky draw opportunity upon successful sharing of “Latest News” on a weekly basis; one instant-win lucky draw opportunity upon successful “Scameter+ Search” on a weekly basis;

5.In phase two, participants will obtain one instant-win lucky draw opportunity upon successful Scameter+ App download; one instant-win lucky draw opportunity upon successful activation of “Suspicious Call Alert” function; one instant-win lucky draw opportunity upon successful activation of “Suspicious Website Detection” function, one instant-win lucky draw opportunity upon successful activation of “Public Intelligence Platform” function; one instant-win lucky draw opportunity upon successful sharing of “Latest News” on a weekly basis; one instant-win lucky draw opportunity upon successful “Scameter+ Search” on a weekly basis; three instant-win lucky draw opportunities upon successful completion of “Anti-scam QnA Challenge”; three instant-win lucky draw opportunities upon successful completion of “Anti-scam Promotion Truck Challenge”;

6.Participants must complete the instant-win lucky draw to be eligible to participate in the grand prize draw regardless prize winning or not in instant-win lucky draw;

7.Instant-win lucky draw registering email address could be bundled up to five electronic devices;

8.Participants must be holders of valid Hong Kong Identity Card. Winners are required to redeem their prizes by presenting valid Hong Kong Identity Card for identity verification and prize redemption. Ineligible participants will be substituted by the reserved winners. Winners aged below 18 must be accompanied by parent/guardian for prize redemption;

9.The phase one results will be published on CyberDefender website (cyberdefender.hk), and announced in Sing Tao Daily and The Standard on 1 November 2024. The phase two results will be published on CyberDefender website (cyberdefender.hk), and announced in Sing Tao Daily and The Standard on 16 December 2024;

10.Winners will be notified through email. The winners of the Campaign must reply to HKPF with the required information within specific period to verify the identity of the winners for prize redemption arrangements, or otherwise the winner shall be assumed to have forfeited the right to redeem the prize. The personal information provided will be shared to the participanting merchants for prize redemption arrangements. If any of the information provided to HKPF is inaccurate or incomplete resulting in failure by HKPF to contact the winner for redemption of the prize, HKPF shall not be liable for any loss and will not re-issue the prize to the winner;

13.All winners must redeem the prize on or before the stated deadline. In the event that a winner fails to collect his/her prize before the deadline stipulated by HKPF, the winner shall be assumed to have forfeited the right to redeem the prize. HKPF reserves the absolute rights to handle the related prize;

12.All prizes are non-refundable, non-transferable and non-exchangeable for cash, other goods, or services in any circumstances. Prizes are subject to terms and conditions of the supplier applicable to them. HKPF has not given and shall not give any warranties or representations of any kind, whether expressed, implied or statutory, in relation to the prizes (including quality, performance, enjoyment, use or any other aspects). HKPF shall also not be liable for any losses or damages caused by or in connection with the prizes (whether it relates to quality, performance, after-sale or repair services, use or otherwise). Any enquiries, comments, complaints or disputes relating to quality of the prizes, supplier’s services or any matters concerning the prizes should be directed to the relevant prize supplier;

13.Participation in the Campaign is voluntary, and HKPF shall not be responsible for any disputes or liabilities arising from or caused by the Campaign or the prizes. HKPF shall not be responsible for any related obligations or costs incurred by participating in the Campaign;

14.Participation in this Campaign represents the participant’s understanding, acceptance, and willingness to comply with the terms and conditions for the Campaign and the prizes. In case of any breach of these terms and conditions, or any dishonest conduct and/or acts of counterfeiting, HKPF reserves the sole and absolute right to immediately cancel the participant’s participation and entitlement to the prize without prior notice;

15.HKPF will verify the eligibility and identity of the participants by checking the registration information of each participant. If any of the information provided to HKPF is incorrect, inaccurate, duplicated, or does not meet the participation reqiurements, HKPF reserves its right to disqualify participants;

16.In case of any dishonest conduct, fraud and/or negligent behaviour, the participant will be disqualified and his/her entitlement to the prize will be cancelled automatically without prior notice. HKPF reserves the sole and absolute right to determine the eligibility of any participant, disqualify any participant and/or cancel any participant’s entitlement to a prize without prior notice. If the participant has violated any of these Terms and Conditions causing any loss, expenses, costs or damages to HKPF, HKPF reserves the right to take legal action if necessary;

17.If for any reason this Campaign does not operate as planned which includes but not limited to computer virus, bugs, worms, Trojan, denial of service attacks, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of HKPF that corrupt or affect the administration, system security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Campaign, HKPF reserves the right and sole discretion to disqualify any eligible participant and retrieve the prizes without prior notice;

18.HKPF reserves the right to recover from any winner the value of the prize so awarded to him/her if HKPF discovers that such a winner does not comply with any of the requirements as set out in these Terms and Conditions;

19.HKPF makes no representation or guarantee as to the quality and availability of the prizes, products, services, or information provided by the participating merchant. HKPF shall not be held liable for any matters arising from or in connection with the prizes, products, services, or information provided by the participating merchant. Customers should direct any queries or complaints to the participating merchant;

20.HKPF is not responsible for the winner’s failure to receive the prize collection notice caused by any incorrect or incomplete information in the account of the registered user;

21.Should there be any discrepancy between the English and Chinese versions of these Terms and Conditions, the English version shall apply and prevail;

22.In case of any dispute, the decision of HKPF shall be final and conclusive.

1.The Winner of the Grand Prize will be notified about the arrangement of Lucky Draw Prize redemption via email. If the personal data provided is incorrect or the Winner of the Grand Prize cannot be contacted according to the contact means provided , the Winner will lose eligibility for the Grand Prize and the prize will be assigned to the reserved winner(s);

2.The Winner of the Grand Prize agrees to abide by the Terms and Conditions listed regarding the Grand Prize. HKPF shall not be responsible for any consequences due to the redemption or use of the Grand Prize;

3.The Grand Prize cannot be refunded, transferred/resold, exchanged for cash or returned to HKPF in exchange for another model;

4.HKPF will bear the vehicle value and registration fees levied by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The Grand Prize does not include first-year vehicle licence fees, Traffic Accident Victims Assistance Fund (T.A.V.A), administration fees charged by the relevant vehicle agent, licence plate fees and insurance of any kind;

5.In case of any dispute, the decision of HKPF shall be final and conclusive.
